Answer"any two of the following questions in about 600 words each. Each question carries 20 marks. 2x20=40
1. Explain the meaning of Consumer Rights. Discuss in detail the Consumer Rights enshrined in the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
2. Discuss in detail the three sets of issues faced by India in relation to Public Policy and Social Accountability.
3. Discuss the remedies available for negligence in the Banking Service with the help of decided case laws.
4. Discuss the scope and mode of Public Interest Litigation (PIL). Who is competent to file a petition under PIL Explain.
SECTION II
Answer any four of the following questions in about 350 words each. Each question carries 12 marks. 4x12=48
5. Discuss the role of Consumer Responsibility towards the society.
6. Discuss the historical perspective of the Consumer movement in India.
7. Define the terms 'Misbranded' and 'Adulterated' under the Consumer Protection Act, 1986.
8. Discuss with the help of case law the concept of 'Misleading Advertisement' and services rendered by 'Indian Airlines'.
9. Discuss in detail the three techniques involved in Effective Strategy Campaign and Advocacy Programmes.
10. Discuss the role of consumer in a market economy.
