a. In what context the Employee Compensation Act, 1923 is much beneficial to the workers than the Fatal Accident Act, 1855?
b. Is there is any difference between minimum wage and living wage?
c. What constitute "Salary" under the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965?
d. What are the conditions for obtaining benefits, under the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948?
e. In which circumstances an employer is not liable to pay compensation under the Employee Compensation Act, 1923?
f. When gratuity become payable under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972?
g. What are the objectives of Employees' Provident Funds Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 1952?
h. Whether, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, 2005 is a complete answer of unemployment?
i. Define the term "Factory" under the Factories Act, 1948?
j. When benefit/s of maternity may be forfeited under the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961?
2. Discuss briefly the various labour standards adopted by International Labour Organization for the protection of industrial workers. How far has India rectified such standards in its labour legislations either directly or indirectly? (Marks 10)
3. The Payment of Wages Act, 1936 provides that "wages are to be paid in a particular form at regular intervals and without any unauthorized deductions". Explain. (Marks 10)
4. "In the Indian context Social Security is a comprehensive approach designed to prevent deprivation, assure the individual of a basic minimum income for himself and his dependents and to protect the individuals from any uncertainties. Explain. (Marks 10)
5. Discuss the salient features of the Unorganized Sector Worker's Social Security Act, 2008. (Marks 10)
6. Explain Employees' Pension scheme and Employees' Deposit-linked Insurance Scheme. Discuss the contributions under Employees' Provident Funds Act, 1952. (Marks 10)
7. Examine the provisions relating to Registration of Establishments and Licensing of Contracts under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act, 1970. (Marks 10)
