1. "Transnational crimes are crimes that have actual or potential effect across national borders and crimes that are intra-state but offend fundamental values of the international community."
In the light of the above statement discuss the nature and scope of transnational crime and its historical evolution. How far you subscribe to the view that this crime has spread exponentially with the emergence and development of the concept of globalization? Comment. (Marks 10)
2. Distinguish between human trafficking and human smuggling and also discuss these crimes in transnational context. Also give an account of reasons for such crimes and measures to combat them with special reference to India. (Marks 10)
3. What do you understand by 'narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances'? Give a brief account of types of 'narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances' and discuss the crime of drug trafficking and its criminal market in transnational context. How far India is affected by drug trafficking? Comment. (Marks 10)
