UNIX

1. Write and execute the following UNIX commands

To display the present working directory.

To combine multiple files/dir's into a single archive.

To compress a given file.

To print first 10 lines of any text file.

To examine file(s) and displays whether text, data etc.

2. Write a shell program which deletes all the odd numbered lines of a text file and transfers them to a new file with name "odd.txt" in the same directory.
