Note: Answer any TWO questions out of three. All questions carry equal marks.
1. Identify the social and legal difficulties encountered by women during post- Vedic and colonial period. Also, describe the influence of social reform and nationalist movements towards elevating the position of women in India. (Marks 10)
2. Civil, Political and social inequalities existed since time immemorial. Explain the role of International instruments in uplifting the position and empowering women universally, by stating a special reference towards eradication of violence against women. (Marks 10)
3. Write short notes (Marks 5×2=10)
a. Importance of Substantive equality in the light of Indian Constitution.
b. Prospects of implementing Uniform Civil Code (UCC).
