1. "Voluntary drunkness is no excuse for the commission of a crime"- Kindly justify the
statement with the help of relevant section and precedents.
On a fatal day, Sub Postmaster of Quito Post Office was counting money in the back room.
Sam, Richard, Nick and Leo appeared at the door of the backroom. Other than Richard who did
not step inside the backroom demanded the Sub Postmaster to give up the money and immediately
afterwards fired pistol at him. The Sub Postmaster died almost immediately. The assailants fled in
almost all directions but Richard was chased and was caught with a stick in his hand. On trial, he
pleaded that he had not fired as he was standing outside. Moreover he stated that he had joined
others to commit robbery but had no intention to kill.
Kindly justify whether Richard is guilty or otherwise with the help of relevant precedents.

2. Jackson went to attend a family function where he was accused of theft of things belonging to
relatives at that get together by his uncle, Robert. Jackson committed suicide after returning home
from that particular event.
Is Robert responsible for abetment to suicide? Justify with the help of relevant section and
precedents.
Logan incites Dax to kill Beckett by saying "hit him hit him". Kristie puts a rod on Dax's hand
and as a result Beckett dies. Discuss the liability of Logan and Kristie.
