a. Name the social reform movements during British period.
b. Who were the proponents of liberal movement?
c. What are the characteristics of feminism?
d. What do you mean by discrimination against women? Briefly discuss.
e. What are the fundamental rights of women enshrined under the constitution of India? Name
them.
f. What acts amount to sexual harassment at workplace? Mention them.
g. What are the amendments in the Maternity Benefit Act, 1961? Refer them.
h. Under which provision a pregnancy can be terminated.
i. What is the definition of dowry under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961?
j. What are the rights of National Commission for Women?

3. What are the functions of Commission on the Status of Women? Explain. (Marks 10)
4. Critically evaluate the maintenance provisions under the Special Marriage Act and section 125
of Cr.P.C. in the light of latest decisions of Supreme Court. (Marks 10)
5. Discuss the constitutionality of the offence of adultery under section 497 of Indian Panel Code,

6. "Protection of Women from the Domestic Violence Act, 2005 is a quasi criminal Act." Explain.
