SEMESTER VII IXCG(Hons.-I) -Federalism
Max. Marks: 20 Max. Time: 1:30 Hrs.
Note: Answer any TWO questions out of three.
The number of marks carried by each question is indicated at the end of thequestion.
1. A peculiar feature of Schedule VII of the Constitution of India is that under certain entries, Parliament has been given the power to bring under control of the Union government the subject matter of certain State entries. Discuss this in relation to the following subjects:-
a. Law and Order (Marks 05)
b. Industry(Marks 05)
2. The Governor of State sends a report to President recommending the imposition of President Rule in the State. The Governor did not even allow the legislatures to take oath as legislatures in the assembly of the State. The Governor did not call any party to form the government and prove majority on the floor of the house. Discuss with the help of decided case law whether such recommendation is constitutionally valid.(Marks 10)

b. Federalism as an aspect of Constitutionalism (Marks 05)
