Q.1 Answer the following 14
Draw chemical stricture of TMS. Give four reasons for using TMS as a
reference standard in NMR.
Define the term Hypsochromic shift. What is the range of UV-Visible
region?
State the Braggs equation and explain the various terms involved in it.
In AFM technique which material is used to make cantilever?
Carbon-Carbon double bond in ethylene is inactive towards IR. Give
reasons.
Write down the formula used for determination of degree of crystallinity of
polymers by XRD.
Draw the DTA curve for polystyrene showing Tg at 100 0C.
