1. Explain the different properties of leather. Also, discuss the five different types of leathers which are commonly used for leather-goods production.
2. Differentiate between the following:
Cow grain and Buff grain
Full grain leather and Corrected grain leather
3. Describe in brief the important parts and functions of cutting machine.
4. What is leather sorting? Write down at least ten defects found in leather.
5. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of machine cutting over hand cutting.
6. "Quality cannot be inspected; it has to be in-built within the system." Justify the statement, giving suitable examples of leather-goods product.

Oil pull-up leather and Burnish leather
Sheep leather and Pig leather
