1.1. Discuss the information needs of different groups of people in the society.
OR
1.2 Explain the concept of value added information services. Enumerate the different groups by which the value added aspects of information services can be organised.

Discuss the functions and activities of different types of facilitators of information transmission.

2.2 What are the functions of documentation and information centres? Enumerate the services and products of such centres and explain any two of them.
3.1 Give a brief account of organization and management of reference service.

3.2 What do you understand by anticipatory services? Explain their characteristics. Discuss different aspects that need to be considered in providing bibliographic compilation service.
4.1 Explain why literature search service can be equated with long range reference service. Discuss the impact of ICT in providing literature search service.
