PART -A.

Attempt any two of the following questions in about 600 words. Each question carries 20 marks. 2x20=40

1. Discuss the salient features of the Juvenile Justice Care and Protection of Children Act, 2000.·

2. Discuss the situations of under section 375 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. What reforms do you think should be made to the existing Law on rape?

3. Discuss the salient features of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.

4. Write a note on disclosure and the right to confidentiality of a HIV positive patient.

Attempt any four of the following questions in about 300 words. Each question carries 10 marks. 4xl0=40

5. Discuss the procedure for investigation in dowry death cases.

6. 'Children need care and protection'. Do you agree with this statement? Is there any special legislation for children which covers this aspect Discuss.

7. Discuss the circumstances which make women and children more vulnerable to HIV infection.

8. Discuss the need for adoption of a separate convention on disability.

9. What are the various forms of untouchability that are punishable under the Protection of Civil Rights Act 1955? Explain with the help of illustrations.

10. Discuss the important features of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
