Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati is a grant-in-aid Institute of Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India and unit of Tata Memorial Centre (Mumbai). It is a 230 bedded hospital with state-of-the art facility for treatment of cancer. The Institute also conducts various academic courses and training programme. Approximately 12,000 new cancer patients and 80,000 old cancer patients visit the Institute every year. Department of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging of Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute at present has one Dual Head Spect Gamma Camera Machine (2015). Low dose radio-isotope therapies are also done in the Department. RSD, AERB has already given permission to start high dose radio-isotope therapy with 3-beds. The construction of the said building is already completed and the facility will be started shortly. Similar, the construction for PET-CT building has been completed recently.

Candidates with working experience in respective field will be given preference. Appointment will be made on contractual basis for one year. Age : Below 45 years (relaxable in exceptional cases)
The Selection Committee can relax age and experience in suitable cases. Interested and eligible candidates may submit their application in prescribed proforma to The Director, Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Gopinath Nagar, A. K. Azad Road, Guwahati-781016, Assam on or before 30th January 2018. Applications may also be submitted through e-mail: bbci_info@yahoo.co.in. The original certificates / mark sheets / experience certificates etc. and hard copy of the duly signed application along with a set of photocopies shall be submitted at the time of interview. The decision of the Institute as to eligibility or otherwise of a candidate will be final. The applicants, who do not have requisite qualifications up to the last date of submission of applications, will not be considered. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Mere fulfilling the minimum educational qualification and experience doesnt bestow right to a candidate to be called for interview. The Institute reserves the right to reject or accept any candidature without assigning any reason thereof. The Management of Dr B Borooah Cancer Institute will not be responsible for rejection of applications due to late postal delivery or lost in transit. The interview for the post will be held on 9th February 2018 (Friday) at 1:00 PM in the Conference Hall of the Institute. The list of eligible candidates for appearing in the interview will be published in the website of the Institute www.bbcionline.org (bulletin-advertisement section) on 02.02.2018 and no separate call letter will be issued to the candidates. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Please note that canvassing / bribing in any form will be a disqualification and would lead to cancellation of candidature.
