2.(a) Define 'Money Market' and state its characteristics. State the risks faced by investors in financial markets.

3.(a) What is equity share capital? Explain the features of equity shares. The initial cash outlay of a project is Rs 1,00,000 and it generates cash inflows of Rs 40,000, Rs 30,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 20,000. Assume a 10% rate of discount. Calculate profitability index.

Pv. of Rs 1 at 10% from 1st year to 4th year is .909, .826, .751 and .683 respectively.

4.(a) Explain the meaning and importance of the cost of capital. Write a brief note on CAPM.

5.(a) What is leverage? Explain the types of leverages. Distinguish between leasing and hire purchasing.

6.(a) State the various sources of funds for financing international operations and explain anyone of them. What is foreign exchange market? Describe its functions and uses.

7.(a) Calculate the combined leverage and operating leverage from the following data

Fixed charges Rs 5,00,000

Interest charges Rs 2,00,000 What is cash management? Discuss its objectives.

8.(a) Describe the concept of Inventory management and state arguments for holding inventory. Discuss the recent development in capital market.
