Question numbers 91 to 95: Read the following passage and answer the questions given
below it. A small crowd had gathered round the entrance to the park. His curiosity aroused, Robert crossed the road to see what was happening. He found that the centre of attraction was an old man with a performing monkey. The monkey's tricks, he soon discovered, were in no way remarkable, so after throwing a few pennies in the dirty hat which the man had placed on the pavement, Robert began to move off, along with other members of the crowd.
At this point the man suddenly let out a loud cry. Everyone turned to see what had happened. The man was bending over his monkey, which now lay quite still on the pavement. He picked up the apparently lifeless body and, holding it close to him, began to weep. A young man stepped forward from the crowd and taking some money from his pocket, dropped it into the hat. Robert and several other people did likewise, until the pennies in the hat were covered with silver coins. Meanwhile, the man continued to hold the dead monkey in his arms and seemed to take no notice of what was going on about him.
A few months later, Robert came across the old man again, in another part of the city. The man had a monkey, bought, no doubt, with the money which the crowd had given him. Once again the old man let out a loud cry. Once again the monkey lay still on the pavement. The man picked up the"dead" monkey and clutching it in his arms began to weep. The same young man stepped forward and threw some money into the hat. Again the crowd followed suit except for Robert. Smiling to himself, he went on his way, amazed at the man's audacity.

Question numbers 96 to 100: Read the passage given below and answer the questions based on it.
In so far as it places all phenomena on the same emotional level, the scientific point of view may be called the God's-eye-view. But it differs profoundly from that which religions have attributed to the Almighty in being ethically neutral. Science cannot determine what is right and wrong, and should not try to. It can work out the consequences of various actions, but it cannot pass judgement on them. The bacteriologist can merely point out that pollution of the public water supply is likely to cause as many deaths as letting off a bomb in the public street. But he is no better equipped than anyone else in possession of the knowledge he has gained for determining whether these two acts are equally wrong. The enemies of science alternately abuse its exponents for being deaf to moral considerations and for interfering in ethical problems which do not concern them. Both of these criticisms canTlot be right.
Now the tendency of the average man has always been to dwell on the emotional and ethical side of a case rather than on facts of the somewhat dull kind which interest the scientist. Let me take two examples, the problem of the American negro and the problem of disease. A large number of Americans hold that the negro is definitely inferior to the white man, and should, as far as possible, be segregated from him. Others believe that he should enjoy the same rights. The biologist cannot decide between them. He can point out that the negro's skllll is more ape-like than the white's, hut his hairless skin less so, and so forth.
96. What should science not try to do
Determining cause of diseases
Determining right and wrong
Determining the cause of social problems
Determining the biological structure of negroes
97. Which two examples does the author refer to in support of his views?
Religion and ethics
Science and religion
American negro and the white man
American negro and disease
98. What is the tendency of the average man according to the author?
To believe in religion To look at emotional side
To look at ethical side To look at emotional and ethical side
