1. What are different types of research? Clearly explain Applied vs Fundamental research.
Explain the terms
i. Design of the research project
ii. Objectives of research
2. Explain techniques involved in defining a research problem.
Briefly explain different types of research design.
UNIT II
3. What is the classification of measurement scales? Explain with examples.
Explain the terms in detail
i. Test of Validity
ii. Test of Reliability
4. Explain various forecasting methods. Explain expert opinion method in detail.
Exponential smoothing is used to forecast automobile battery sales. Two value of are examined,
0.8 and 0.5. Evaluate the accuracy of each smoothing constant. Which is preferable?
(Assume the forecast for January was 22 batteries). Actual sales are given in Table 1.
