the calculations and predictions of all political analysis
and poll pundits. His Presidency may be regarded as an
insurrection against the elites. He upended the Republic
party by becoming its nominee in spite of the disapproval of
the party elders. He triumphed over Hillary Clinton in spite
of her superior funding, star power, diplomatic experience
and organisational prowess. Donald Trump is thought to be
a racist, an anti-Muslim fanatic and an unscrupulous social
critic with a misogynic strain. President Trump has towered
against the status que of the American dream. He desires
the end of I.S.I.S. Diplomatically speaking, Donald Trump
has a soft corner for India. He has accommodated himself
with Russian president Putin. He regards Russia and India
as his allies against overconfident Chinese diplomacy. More
over, he may break away from America's strategic orthodoxy
with Pakistan which has been attempting to destabilize India
and Afganistan. It is very likely that he would exert great
pressure on Pakistan to drop her cross-border terrorism as
a foreign policy tool.

10) Make a precis of the following passage and suggest its
suitable title.
The question is if we are to build a giant modern economy
in India, who is going to do it. The Indian urban middle
class is not entrepreneurial. These upper castes are only
conservative job-seekers. They have no confidence to try
their hand in business. Even the new economy is largely
dominated by Agrawal gotras. India's talent pool is limited
in business. In the north of India Agrawals, Oswals, and
Maheshwaries flourish in business. Add to this, Ambanis,
Adanis and Lohanas (Kotak, Premji). They constitute the
top-tier business acumen. The Gujjus and Patels stand no
where in their comparison.
Also, we have Punjabi Khatris and Auroras as business
men. In the South of India we have Chettiars as a merchantile
community. They are reasonably competent as raisers and
managers of capital but they do not have the calibre of
Marwari Banias. In Bengal, Maharastra, and Odisha, there
are no competent merchantile castes like the Marwari Bania
community or Sindhi community in India.
A giant economy is built on the basis of manufacturing
commodities. It is deplorably true that Sindhis and Marwaries
are merchants and traders rather than manufacturers.
In 1920s, GD Birla made his mark as a manufacturer in
Calcutta. Some Gujrati entrepreneurs started running textile
mills in Ahmadabad. The best manufacturers have been the
Tatas. Experts predict that India cannot be an economic
giant in the world as we are only of the world's economy
population.
