1. Design a multimedia based e-commerce website which offers various categories of
products for sale online. Prepare a logic flow chart and storyboard template for this.
2. Differentiate between Animation and Simulation with the help of an example. Write the
names of any two software packages used for Animation.
3. Explain the difference between Bit-map image and vector image. Describe different types
of file extensions used in multimedia applications.
4. Describe the important features of Macromedia Director. Also, mention what kind of
applications can be designed using this software. Give examples.
5. What is meant by static media and dynamic media? Give two examples of each type of
media. Describe features of Image card Authorware tools. Explain the difference and
similarities between morphing and warping.
6. Explain the role of 'Compressors' and 'Timing mechanism' of Quick Time software in
designing multimedia applications
7. With the help of an illustration for an Online Entertainment Company (which produces real
time shows, dance programs, serials, etc.), explain the planning and design, production and
distribution of a small "multimedia promo" for that company.
8. Briefly explain any ten application areas of multimedia.
9. What is copyright? List and explain the legal issues related to copyright in development of
multimedia application.
10. Write short notes on any four:
