method of cylinder lubrication adopted. Also state
the properties of the Lube oil used for cylinder
lubrication.
What treatment the heavy fuel oil under goes prior
to its injection in the cylinder?
Or
Describe with a simple sketch, the working of a
ships windlass.
Explain the principle of working of a centrifugal
pump. What are its advantages and disadvantages
when compared with positive displacement pumps?
