50. Read the passage below, and answer the questions that follow based on your understanding
Unlike the chalcolithic sites in Western and Central India those in the mid Ganga plains were not deserted. More than a dozen chalcolithic sites in Western and Central India show a sudden break in culture. They were deserted for 500 to 1000 years and reoccupied between the fifth and third century
B.C. These include Ahar and Gilund in Rajasthan; Jokha, Dhatva and Prabhaspatan in Gujarat; Besnagar, Kayatha, Maheshwar and Navdatol in Madhya Pradesh and finally Jorwe, Nasik, Nevasa, Behal and Songaon in Maharashtra. Possibly the non availability of iron and its technology ruled out any expansion of the old settlements after the exhaustion of the fertility of local soil. People did not face this difficulty in the mid-Ganga basin where several chalcolithic settlements grew into full-fledged iron age settlements.
Tick mark the correct answer
The chalcolithic sites of Western and Central India are the village culture sites
The iron technology was not known to the people of mid Ganga plain in chalcolithic period
The availability of iron ore and iron technology was the reason for continuity of cultures in the mid Ganga plain.
The Jorwe culture is the chalcolithic culture of Maharashtra

The iron technology was not known to the people of mid Ganga plain in chalcolithic period
The availability of iron ore and iron technology was the reason for continuity of cultures in the mid Ganga plain.
