I. Answer any five questions.
Give the factors affecting fluorescence.
Write a note on gel electrophoresis.
How do you distinguish methyl acetate and ethyl formate by NMR
Explain the factors which influences absorption of infra radiations by
compounds.
Write the principle and applications of potentiometer.
With examples elaborate Woodward Fischer rules to calculate λmax in
butadienes.

What do you mean by coupling constant in NMR and explain factors which
contribute for chemical shifts of protons.
Explain in detail Bragg's law and instrumentation of typical X ray crystallography.
Mention different types of thermal techniques and give their applications.

and explain MALDI in detail.
III. Define and classify chromatography with examples. With figure explain the
