1. Write about the following. (All the five questions are compulsory) [5x5=25]
a. Sterilisation by radiation
b. Coagulase test
c. Universal precautions for ICU.
d. Antibiotic sensitivity tests.
e. Blood transfusion transmitted diseases.
2. Attempt any one. Both questions carry equal marks.
a. Name bacteria causing meningitis. Discuss the laboratory diagnosis of acute pyogenic meningitis. [15]

b. HIV and its laboratory diagnosis. [15]
