SECTION A [40 Marks]
1. Write short Notes up to 5 lines in length.
(a) Surface tension.
(b) Ohm's law
(c) Chronaxie
(d) Intermittent direct current
(e) Wallerian degeneration.
2. Answer the following question upto 3 pages in length. [10]
Discuss the physiological and therapeutic effects of superficial heating modalities.
3. Attempt any ONE question out of the following two questions and Answer should be upto 5 pages in length. [15]
(a) Differentiate between alternating and direct current. Write in detail the therapeutic uses of both the currents.
OR
(b) Discuss pain gate mechanism in detail.

(a) Define iontophoresis. Write in detail the principles of application, indications contraindications and therapeutic uses of iontophoresis

(b) Discuss in detail therapeutic application of UVR in physiotherapy with reference to techniques, indications, contraindications.
