I. Elaborate on: x 10 30)
1. What is an ambulance? Write in brief history of ambulance.
What are the functions of an ambulance?
Describe the common vehicle type used for ambulance and which vehicle types is preferred
for advance life support.
2. What is clinical examination?
Define and describe the following clinical examination skills with examples Inspection,
palpation, percussion, auscultation.
Draw and locate areas for palpating central and peripheral pulses.
3. What is upper airway?
What are the common manual maneuvers used to open the airway and describe two of them in detail?
What are the common methods to provide ventilation in cardio pulmonary resuscitation and
describe bag mask ventilation technique?
II. Write Notes on: x 5 40)
1. Air ambulance and its functions.
2. What is privacy? Write 5 situations in emergency department in which you will ensure privacy.
3. What is log-roll? What precautions are needed before performing log-roll?
4. Mention 5 symptoms and signs of respiratory distress in an adult.

6. Resuscitation team and explain the role of each member.
7. What is written of spontaneous circulation ROSC? How will you observe a patient with ROSC
after resuscitation?
