SECTION — A
Answer any FIVE out of Ten questions,
in not less than 1 page. 6 30 Marks)
Each question carries 6 marks.
1. Identify the objectives of teacher education at Pre-Primary level.
2. What are the skills and capacities developed in Pre-primary teachers over the
years and practice?
3. Briefly outline the duration of teacher training courses according to Education
Commission 1964-66.
4. Write a note on the Preamble of Appendix-4, under Regulation, 9 of NCTE-2014
Act.
5. Enlist the aims of Quality Council of India [QC1].
6. Bring out the areas of research in teacher education.
7. Give an emphasis on admission policy under Regulation, 11 of NCTE-2014 Act.
8. Explain the concept of professional ethics of teachers.
9. Bring out the relation between profession and professionalism.
10. Enlist the components of teacher effectiveness.

Answer ALL the questions with internal choice
in not less than 3 pages. 10 40 Marks)

11. Delineate the norms and standards for Master of Education programme
leading to M.Ed. Degree as per the NCTE-2014, Regulations.

Enlist the Appendices under the NCTE-2014, Regulations for Art Education
and Physical Education for preparing to teach performing Visual Arts and
Physical Education.
12. Overview the National Council for Teacher Education [Recognition Norms
and Procedures] Regulations, 2014.
Or
Make an attempt to overview of the major recommendations of National
Policy on Education-1986 relating to Programme of Action for the
development of teacher education.
13. Explain the framework for quality assurance in teacher education and
training. Outline the performance appraisal indicators.
Or
What would be the criteria for estimating demand for and supply of teachers?
Comment on the mushrooming growth of teacher education institutions in
India.
14. Identify the assessment criteria for teacher proficiency and explain
implementation of best practices in teacher education institutions in India.
