1. Why do the companies sell their goods abroad? What are the advantages a firm can derive thereby? Discuss giving suitable illustration in support of your answer.
2. What do you understand by exchange control? Explain the broad rationale for these controls.
3. Distinguish between:
Insurance Policy and Insurance Contracts
Consular Invoice and Customers Invoice
Received for shipment Bill of Lading and On board shipped bill of lading
4. What are the various forms of chartering of shipping services? Explain briefly.
5. Describe the various types of perils in cargo against which insurance can be obtained. Enumerate the documents needed for filing a claim under a cargo insurance policy.
6. What is a letter of credit? What are the various parties involved therein? Explain its mechanism as a trade financing tool.
7. Write short notes on any two of the following:
