2. What is the difference between arrest and custody? Explain.

4. Right to fair trial of the accused.

5. Post -conviction orders.

6. Discuss the procedure for release of offenders on admonition.

7. Discuss the procedure relating to search and seizure as given under criminal procedure code.

8. Discuss the law relating to remand of the accused person. Explain the procedure in detail.

9. Discuss the aims objects and process of criminal trials in India.

10. "Public prosecutor is not part of the investigating agency, but is an independent statutory authority:' Explain.

11. What do you understand by 'plea bargaining' Discuss its salient features.

12. Discuss in brief the evolution of prisons in India.

13. What do you understand by the term 'investigation'? Discuss the powers of the police to investigate in non-cognizable offences.

14. Define confession. Discuss the law relating to recording of confessional statement. What is the evidentiary value of confession? Support your answer with statutory provisions.

15. Define arrest. Discuss in detail the rights which the accused is entitled at the time of arrest and after arrest. Support your answer with the help of statutory provisions.

16. What is probation? Write a detailed note about the history and development of probation system in India.
