2. What is a shoe sizing system Explain any two sizing systems in brief. 2+8=10
SECTION B
3. What is the importance of leather grading'? Explain the shoe factory method of grading.
A shoe factory purchased 20,000 sq.ft. TR leather Rs 80 per sq.ft. After receiving the leather, the quantities of B and C grade were found 5000, 6500 and 8000 sq.ft. respectively. Calculate the profit/loss during the purchase of leather and area discrepancy percentage. 5
4. What are the important points to be remembered while making the layout of Derby shoe on Cow full grain leather? 10
5. Define area discrepancy in leather. A shoe factory has given an order for 3000 sq.ft. Buff Full Grain Black. During leather inspection actual received area was found to be 2700 sq.ft. Calculate the area discrepancy percentage for this consignment. 2+8=10
