1. "Safety is not only the objective of safety engineering, health of workers should also be included in the objectives." Justify the statement.
Discuss the health problems arising out of industrialisation and the measures for the health protection of workers. 7+7
2. What is occupational stress? What are the causes and impact of stress at the work-place?
Describe the pollutants of water and how they enter into the water. 7+7
3. What is the role of first aid in dealing with emergency? Describe the contents of a first aid kit. What are the different elements of emergency planning?
What is Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) What type of sound causes NIHL? 7+7
4. Many jobs will be available in the next few years in the field of hazardous waste monitoring and disposal. Would you take such a job? If not, why? If so, do you feel secure that your health would not be jeopardized Justify your answer with suitable examples.
