1. Explain the causes of deterioration of flexible pavements. What are the tests commonly used to evaluate pavement condition? 10
2. Discuss the various types of failures in flexible pavements with the help of neat sketches. 10
3. What do you understand by road roughness How is it measured Write the purposes of its measurement. 10
4. What is skid resistance Discuss the factors affecting skid resistance of pavement surface. 10
5. Describe the objectives of conducting structural evaluation of highway pavements. Name the different methods used for this.
6. Explain the principle and procedure of anyone· method of evaluation of structural strength of pavement. 10
7. In a Benkelman Beam Deflection test conducted on 15 spots, rebound deflection values (in mm) are given below:
