Sub:- Filling up of one post of Processing Technologist in NIFPHATT reg

Applications are invited to fill up one post of Processing Technologist (GCS Group B Gazetted Non-Ministerial) in the Pay Band of Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4,600/- in the National Institute of Fisheries Post Harvest Technology and Training, Cochin 16 which is a subordinate office under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries. The post is to be filled up by Deputation from:

Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories or

(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department, or

(ii) with three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular

basis in the scale of pay of Rs.5500-175-9000 (pre-revised scale) or equivalent in the

parent cadre or department or

(iii) with six years regular service in the grade rendered after appointment on a regular basis

in the scale of pay of Rs.5000-150-8000 (pre-revised scale) or equivalent in the parent

cadre or Department : and

(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

Essential:

(i) M.Sc.degree in Food Technology or Chemistry or Fishery Science or Industrial

Fisheries of a Recognized University or equivalent. OR

Two years Diploma in Fishery Science from Central Institute of Fisheries Education,

Mumbai

(ii) Two years practical experience in fish processing factories or two years research

experience in the field of fish processing.

Desirable:

Diploma in Marketing or Business Management

The Departmental Officers in the feeder category who are in the direct line of promotion will not be eligible for consideration for appointment on deputation. Similarly deputationist shall not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.

The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organizations/department of the Central Government shall not exceed 3 years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

The officer selected will be entitled to draw pay in accordance with the provisions contained in the Department of Personnel & Training O.M. No. 2/29/91 Estt.(Pay-II) dated 05.01.1994 as modified from time to time or such general or special orders by the Govt. of India in this regard.

The applications in the enclosed proforma from suitable and willing officials along with their complete and up-to-date CR dossiers (last 5 years) may be forwarded to the undersigned by name within 60 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News. While forwarding the application the Controlling Authority would verify and certify that the particulars furnished by the applicant are correct and no vigilance cases are pending or contemplated against the officials. In the event of selection, the candidate will not be allowed to withdraw his candidature.

Applications received without up-to-date CR Dossiers or after due date or found incomplete in any other manner will not be considered.
