Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the following positions at National Institute of Animal Biotechnology (NIAB), Hyderabad against DBT funded project entitled Genomics for conservation of indigenous cattle breeds and for enhancing milk yield, phase-I. PI: Dr. Subeer Majumdar, Co-PI: Sarwar Azam, Satypal Arya.

For Research Associate and Project Assistant, the following is applicable

(i) One position of Research Associate

Essential qualification: PhD Degree in Bioinformatics/ Computational biology/ Computer science/ related field or M. Tech. having 3 years of experience in relevant area with at least a scientific paper in Science citation indexed (SCI) journal. (Eligibility criteria as per DST OM No.SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated 21.10.2014). Candidate with the core expertise and experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data analysis, SNP identification, selection of SNP for chip designing; machine learning and developing machine learning tool; Database design and development is desirable.

Fellowship amount: Rs.36000/-PM+30% HRA = 46,800/- PM as per the DST guidelines.

Age: 35 years (Relaxation is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government instructions)

(ii) One position of Project Assistant

Essential qualification: Candidate should have Graduate degree and must have experience of project management.

Fellowship amount: Rs.22000/- PM consolidated.

Essential qualification: 10+2/Intermediate in sciences with at least 1 year of experience in large animal handling or diploma in animal husbandry.

Fellowship amount: Rs.20000/- PM consolidated.
