Applications are invited for the post of Research Fellow & Field assistant on contract basis in the Centre for Ecological Economics and Natural Resources at ISEC for a Department of Science and technology, Government of India sponsored research project entitled Exploring Wild Edibles of the Male Mahadeshwara Betta (MM Hills), and their Potential for the Socio Economic Development of Local People.

| Qualification | a) M.Sc in Natural Science with plant taxonomy background/ Forestry/Environmental Economics/Agriculture Economics and related disciplines. b) Proficiency in data collection, data analysis and report writing. c) Good command on English and Kannada (read, written and spoken) Research Assistant: a) Bachelor / Master degree in forestry/environmental sciences/Botany b) Good command on English and Kannada (written and spoken) | |
| Desirable Qualification | : | Research Fellow: a) Should have excellent field (Forest areas) knowledge b) Basic knowledge of Remote Sensing and GIS along with knowledge of database management c) Willing to travel to study sites (forest areas) for longer duration d) Ready to accept challenges and have to have a capacity to work with interdisciplinary team. Research Assistant: a) Should have the good field knowledge of rural/forested landscape |
| Tenure | : | 6 months from the date of joining and may be extended up to 2 (Two) years depending upon the performance (total 24 months). |
