W A L K I N I N T E R V I E W for engaging Position on Contract

The Wildlife Institute of India, Dehra Dun invites application for Walk-in-interview for engaging Project Associate and Project Assistant for Project entitled Assessing the Impacts of Power-Lines on Avian Species in the Arid Plains of Western Gujarat purely on contractual basis for a period of one year. The EQ, DQ and other details of the position. is as provided below :

1	Engagement Positions	Project Associate (ONE)
2	Essential Qualification (EQ)	Masters degree in Life Sciences/ Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Botany/ Forestry/Ecology/Environmental Sciences with 60% aggregated marks and above from a recognized university
3	Desirable Qualification (DQ)	Experience in population and habitat assessment; GIS spatial mapping, good analytical skills; ability to work in harsh field conditions; good management skills. Knowledge of local area and avian migratory pattern. Candidates having PhD and with >2 years research experience will be preferred.
4	Work description	Candidate will conduct field research, surveys, tagging, data collection, analysis and report-writing.
5	Duration	2 years
6	Location of Project site	Western Gujarat
7	Age	Not exceeding 40 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
8	Emoluments	Rs. 50,000/- (Consolidated). This is inclusive of HRA.
9	Funding agency	Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

2	Essential Qualification (EQ)	Masters degree in Life Sciences/ Wildlife Science /Zoology/ Botany/ Forestry/Ecology/Environmental Sciences with 60% aggregated marks and above from a recognized university
3	Desirable Qualification (DQ)	Experience in field sampling and surveys, good communication skills; ability to work in harsh field conditions. Knowledge of local area and avian migratory pattern.
4	Work description	Candidate will travel extensively and conduct sampling and surveys, assist in tagging and other field work.
5	Duration	2 years
6	Location of Project site	Western Gujarat
7	Age	Not exceeding 35 years as on the date of interview. Upper age limit in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories may be relaxed as per the rules.
8	Emoluments	Rs.25,000/- (Consolidated). This is inclusive of HRA.
9	Additional benefits	Coverage under medical insurance policy
10	Funding agency	Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.

General Conditions

1. The candidate should report by 0930 hrs for scrutiny of documents on 4th December, 2017 followed by an Interview on the same day at 1100 hrs. The Institute will not provide accommodation for candidates appearing for the interview.

2. Candidates should bring the duly filled-in application with attested true copies of testimonials of educational qualifications along with certificate of extracurricular activities; date of birth, mark sheets of all examinations etc. All original documents/certificates must be produced at the time of registration for necessary verification.

3. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
