Applications in the prescribed form are invited upto 22.01.2018 from Indian nationals for direct recruitment through written test and interview fbr filling up of two posts of Scientist-B (Medical) in Pay Matrix Label-l0 Rs.56100-128200 at National JALMA Institute for Leprosy & Other Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra. Written test will be conducted at Agra on a date which will be intimated later.

Place of Posting:

These posts carry all India Service liability and the selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India, particularly at NJIL&OMD, Agra/MRHRU, Ghatampur or Una, Haroli (HP)

Post No. 1 :Scientist-B (Medical) (Unreserved)-02 Post:

Essential Qualification: MBBS degree recognized by MCI.

Desirable:

1. MD in Microbiology/Pathology.
   
   
2. Three years additional Post-doctoral research/teaclring experience in subjects related to Leprosy, Skin, Tuberculosis and HIV.
   
   
3. Knowledge of Computer Applications
   
   

Job Requirements:

This will include planning and carrying out independent intramural & extramural projects pertaining to Leprosy, TB & HIV both at the Institute and supervision & carrying activities relating to epidemiology of above diseases at MRHRU, Ghatampur & its satellite centers. This will also require administrative responsibilities of the center and the field units. Reporting of activities to the National Programmes and its managers at the national level.

Age:

Not exceeding 35 years (relaxable upto 5 years for Govemment servants in accordance with the instructions and orders issued by the Department of Personnel and Training from time to time in this regard.

General conditions:

(1)

Post Doctorate degree (Ph.D./MD) in the relevant subject shall be treated as equivalent to 3 years' experience.

(2)

Since it is not possible to call all the applicants for the written test/interview, the candidates will be short listed for this purpose. The decision of the Director, NJIL&OMD will be final in this regard.

(3)

No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for appearing in the written test.

(a)

The candidates called for interview from outstation will be paid 2"d class rail fare through shortest route on production of documents.

(5)

Any canvassing by or on behalf of the candidates or to bring political or other outside influence with regard to selection/recruitment shall be a disqualification.

(6)

Applications from employees working in Central/State Govt. Departments/PSUs and Govt. funded research agencies must be forwarded through proper channel. Advance copy of application will be

considered subject to the condition that a 'No Objection Certificate" from the employer is produced at the time of wriffen test. Applications received after the closing date will not be considered

The allowances shall be admissible as per Central Govt. orders. ₌

Private practice is not allowed. However, Non Practicing Allowance is admissible to medical graduates only as per rules.

(9)

Benefit of New Pension Scheme is admissible as per the provisiogn contained in the Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs (ECB & PR Division) Notification No.05/0712003-ECB & PR dated 22.12.2003, effective from 01 .01.2004.

3. Self attested copies of documents as a proof of Date of Birth, Educational Qualification, Experience, and Caste Certificate etc. should be enclosed along with the application form.
   
   
4. A crossed Indian Postal Order (IPO) for Rs.l00/- (Rupees One Hundred only) payable to the Director, National JALMA Institute for Leprosy & Other Mycobacterial Diseases (ICMR), Agra. SC/ST/PH and women candidates are exempted from the application fee. IPOs are payable by all other candidates including ICMR employees.
   
   
5. Incomplete, unsigned applications or applications without supportive evidence asked for/without postal order or received late shall be summarily rejected.
