NOTIFICATION FOR ENGAGEMENT OF ITI PASSED APPRENTICES UNDER APPRENTICE ACT 1961

NHPC Limited, A Mini Ratna Category-I, Govt. of India Enterprise invites application from eligible candidates for undergoing one year apprenticeship training at Rangit Power Station, Rangit Nagar, South Sikkim under apprentice act, 1961 in the trades as mentioned below:

1) Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum 30 years as on closing date i.e. 08.09.2017 (Relaxable by 05 years for SC/ST; 03 Years for OBC(Non Creamy Layer) and 10 years for PWDs)

2) Training Duration: One Year (01 Year)

3) Stipend: 70% or 80% (as applicable) of minimum wages of semi-skilled worker as notified by the state of Sikkim. The apprentices will not be eligible for any other allowances or benefits.

4) Reservation: i) Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy layer) as per the provisions of apprenticeship act, 1961 and rules framed there under as amended till date. ii) The seats reserved for PWDs will be adjusted in respective categories (Gen/SC/ST/OBC)

5) Preference to PAF/PPA: Preference will be given to project affected families and project affected areas of Rangit Power Station.

6) Candidates should be eligible with respect of age criteria and educational qualification as on closing date of advertisement. Candidates whose results are awaited need not to apply.

7) Employment in NHPC: Candidates shall have no claim whatsoever as to any extension of training and/or employment in NHPC Limited.

8) How to apply: The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria will have to register themselves under NCVT MIS portal by visiting http://www.apprenticeship.gov.in & subsequently apply against NHPC Limited, Rangit Power Station for undergoing apprenticeship training on or before 08.09.2017. Candidates must upload their ITI Marksheets of all semesters as issued by the institute. The candidates must also upload the Marksheet of 8th Pass (where minimum qualification for getting admission to the trade is 8th pass), OR 10th Pass (If minimum qualification for admission to the trade is 10th Pass), OR 12th Pass (If minimum qualification for admission to the trade is 12th Pass). Candidates are also required to mention their Valid Aadhar Card No. on apprentice website while filling their application and also ensure that their aadhar card no. is linked with their respective bank account.

9) Last date for submission of application- 08.09.2017.

10) Selection criteria: 1) Eligible candidates as per requirement will be shortlisted on the basis of merit list prepared with marks secured in minimum qualification required for respective trade and ITI course as per following details and there will be no interview-

i) The shortlisted candidates will be informed through http://www.apprenticeship.gov.in and nhpcindia.com

ii) The candidates shortlisted shall have to produce all original testimonials/certificates such as proof of educational qualification certificates, ITI pass certificates and Marksheet of all semester, Caste certificate (if applicable), Aadhar Card, Bank Details (Copy of Passbook), Medical Fitness Certificate for registered medical practitioner and Two(2) no. of passport size photographs at the time of verification, which will be Communicated on the registered email ID of the applicant. In case of any false information/claim made by the applicant, the application shall be cancelled.

iii) The selection and deployment of apprentices will be subject to detailed provisions of apprentices act, 1961.

11) Note: i) Candidates already applied against earlier advt. dated 08.07.17 need not apply again.

ii) Candidates who have applied earlier through advt. dtd. 08.07.17 and have not uploaded their ITI Marksheets of all semesters as issued by the institute and Marksheet of 8th or 10th or 12th class passed as minimum qualification required under their specific trade on http://www.apprenticeship.gov.in will have to upload the same before the closing date.

iii) Rangit Power Station, NHPC Ltd reserves the right to increase/decrease the no. of vacancies against designated trades of apprentice training depending upon the receipt of online applications against each designated trades in order to fulfil the minimum requirement for power station.
