| 4 | Educational and other qualifications required for direct recruits | Class 1 Marine Engineer Officer (MEO) having worked as Chief Engineer in coastal / foreign going vessels for atleast one year. Or Should hold ticket of Foreign Going Master Certificate of Competency / service and must have a minimum sailing experience of one year as Master in coastal or foreign going vessels and should have commanded vessels above 3000 GRT. Well versed with all aspects of management of ships. Well versed in ISM and ISPS implementation in ships. Well versed in various statutory surveys relating to different kinds of ships. Ability to liaise with various statutory agencies and organizing sailing schedules as per owners requirements. |
| 5 | Desirable | Diploma in Materials Management Or Diploma in Business Management. Preference to be given to personnel having a PSU background. |
