VACANCY CIRCULAR

ERC/NCTE/ITC-RA/2016 Dt.15.02.2016

The National Council for Teacher Education is a statutory body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development set up with a view to achieving planned and coordinated development of the teacher education system throughout the country, the regulation and proper maintenance of norms and standards in the teacher education system and for matters connected therewith.

2. Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up the following posts on contract basis for ERC, NCTE, Bhubaneswar. Retired officers from central, state governments/PSUs/statutory or semi government or autonomous bodies under governments are encouraged to apply.

A. IT Consultant-One

1. Eligibility : MCA/M.Sc/M.Tech in Computer Science. He / She should have expertise in user interface management and project management have proven ability to interact with the users, (leadership quality), developers and administrative staff, and co-ordinate with programmers and e-Governance project. Must know database designing and DBA process with sound mastery over network basics, should be capable of handling complete life-cycle of a new / modified IT system from analyzing existing arrangements to implementing systems and providing training.

2. Experience : In Information, Networking and Management is desirable.

3. Remuneration : Rs.35,000/- per month

4. Mode of selection : On Contract Basis

5. Duration of Appointment : For a period of six months, extendable for further period with the approval of the competent authority.

B. Research Assistant One

1. Eligibility : MA (Social Science/ Humanities/ Education) or M.Ed or M.Sc. (CS)/MCA with experience in field survey and data handling/ data-base development/ project management.

2. Age : Maximum of 65 years

3. Remuneration : Rs.25,000/- (fixed) per month

4. Mode of selection : On Contract Basis

5. Duration of Appointment: For a period of six months, extendable for further period with the approval of the competent authority.

3. Number of required IT Consultants / Research Assistants may vary at the interview and post-interview. The NCTE reserves the right to change the number of posts or not to fill up any of the posts advertised, if the circumstances so warrant.

4. The application in the PROFORMA (available on ERC NCTE website i.e. www.ercncte.org ) duly signed by the applicant may be sent to The Regional Director, ERC, NCTE, 15, Neelakantha Nagar, Nayapalli, Bhubaneswar751012. Last date for the receipt of applications is on or before 25th February, 2016. The name of the post applied for may be written in bold letters on the top of the envelope / application.

5. Incomplete applications and applications received after the last date shall not be entertained.
