Recruitment of Academic Consultants on Contractual basis for National Council of Rural Institutes

NCRI is an autonomous body under Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India based in Hyderabad. The Council strives to promote rural resilience through curricular interventions in Higher Education and promotes Rural Concerns and Rural Community Engagement in institutions of higher education like universities, IITs and NITs.

Applications are invited from Professionals and academics (including retired faculty) for working on contractual basis as Senior Academic Consultants in NCRI initially for a period of one year, in the following areas: (1) Rural Management (2) Rural Social Work (3) Rural Communication (4) Rural Entrepreneurship (5) Rural Technology (6) Rural Teacher Education.

General Information

2. Engagement of Consultants will be on full working day basis and they will be working with Higher Education Institutions and Universities all over the country from Hyderabad.
   
   
3. Qualifications should be from approved recognized institutions.
   
   
4. The selection process will be based on academic qualifications, experience and also group discussion, presentation and interview as may be decided depending on the total number of eligible applicants.
   
   
5. Documents in support of (i) Qualifications (ii) Experience & (iii) Age, etc have to be produced in originals as and when called for interview.
   
   
6. Age limit: As mentioned in the above table as on date of advertisement.
   
   
7. The experience and age will be counted as on date of advertisement.

10. The above ranges of the consultancy fee mentioned in the table are on consolidated basis and are inclusive of all allowances.
    
    
11. The appointment of consultant is purely on contractual basis initially for a period of one year. It may be extended for further period after reviewing the requirement, professional skills and overall performance of the individual.
    
    
12. NCRI reserves the right to discontinue the contractual engagement as per requirement.
    
    
13. Consultancy Fees Range : Senior Consultant ` 50,000/-to ` 70,000/-per month and their travel, accommodation and per diem cost will be paid/reimbursed on par with Group A Officers of the Government of India.
    
    
14. The Employer reserves the right to cancel / modify / withdraw / postpone this recruitment notice.
    
    

Candidates are expected to conduct intensive workshops, master trainers programmes, curriculum development and course content development for Universities and Higher Education Institutions addressing Rural Concerns in the relevant disciplines. Candidates willing to travel extensively and work from Hyderabad, with 20 years post minimum qualification experience (including retired persons) may apply.
