Engagement of Editor for Monthly Newsletter Rashtra Mahila

The National Commission for Women brings out a Monthly Newsletter Rashtra Mahila in English and Hindi. The Commission proposes to engage the services of a professional for undertaking the work relating to compilation of information, editing and bringing out the Newsletter on payment of suitable Honorarium. Currently, the Newsletter comprises four pages. It is proposed that the content and the size of the Newsletter be increased to include information on a number of topics concerning empowerment of women. Therefore, besides, details of activities undertaken by the National Commission for Women and the State Women Commissions, the Newsletter will also highlight achievements of individual woman in the field of sports, science, literature, arts, academics, entrepreneurship and other related areas. The newsletter will also include stories about seminars, research studies, book reviews, etc. concerning the theme of Empowerment of Women and could include motivational content for encouraging women to charter a new course.

It is also proposed to bring out a publication in January, 2018 to commemorate 25 years of existence of the National Commission for Women. The selected candidate will be required to coordinate activities relating to the publication.

The interested candidates may forward their CV along with details of the current remuneration and expected honorarium at usncw@nic.in by 23.10.2017. The interview will be held in the Office of National Commission for Women, Plot No.21, Jasola Institutional Area, New Delhi 110 025 and date will be intimated to shortlisted candidates through mail.

The candidates shall be required to make a presentation about how they would visualise the contents of the monthly newsletter and the publication to be brought out in January 2018. The selected candidates will have the option of working from home with the condition that the weekly progress of the work undertaken will be reported to the Commission.
