Appointments to the positions will initially be made on contract for a period of five years or till filled up on a regular basis, whichever is earlier, further subject to the decision of the Governing Body/Board of Governors.

Masters degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognised University / Institute. B. Experience i) At least 15 years experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 7000/-and above or with 8 years of service in the AGP of Rs. 8000/above including as Associate Professor along with experience in educational administration, OR ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, OR iii)15 years of administrative experience, of which 8 years shall be as Deputy Registrar or equivalent. C. Desirable i) Ph. D. or equivalent ii) Degree in Law/MBA. iii) Familiarity with procedures of modern management especially preparation of project proposals and budget estimates. Also capability to articulate policy matters and adequate experience in minting meetings. iv) Experience in working as Secretary of various committees and should be capable of handling BOG/Council meetings, drafting of agenda and resolutions, capable of handling educational / research matters independently as well as having skill to implement the same into action. Proficiency in egovernance / procurement, office automation, RTI matter and provisions of General Financial Rules. v) Skill in public relations as well as interactions with scholars, faculties, students and employees. For Officers under the Central /State Universities/ Recognized Research Institutes or Institutes of national importance or Govt. laboratory or PSU:
a) i) Holding analogous post or ii) With at least 3 years regular service in posts with GP of Rs. 8700/-as per 6th Central Pay Commission or equivalent and b) Possessing educational qualification and experience as above. Age Limit : 55 years
2. Deputy Registrar (Finance) Pay Band 3 : Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 7600 PB-4 (Rs. 15600-39100) with Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/-. After five years of service as Deputy Registrar with Grade Pay of Rs. 7600/an incumbent will automatically move to the higher Grade Pay of Rs. 8700/-with the same designation. A. Essential Masters degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade B in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University / Institute. B. Experience i) 9 years experience as Assistant Professor in the AGP of Rs. 6000/and above with experience in educational administration, or ii) Comparable experience in research establishment and/or other institutions of higher education, or iii) 5 years of administrative experience as Assistant Registrar or equivalent. C. Desirable i) A Chartered or Cost Accountant. ii) Experience in handling computerised administration / legal / financial / establishment matters. Officers from the Central / State Government or Institutes of national importance or Universities / University level Institution or PSU / Industry: a) i) holding analogous post or ii) with at least 5 years service in posts in the GP pay of Rs. 6600/as per Central Pay Commission or its equivalent and having experience in administration, establishment and account matters. b) Possessing educational qualification as above. Age Limit : 45 years
3. Assistant Registrar A. Essential
Rs. 15600-39100 + GP 5400 Masters degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade B in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized
University/ Institute with excellent academic record.
OR
Employees of the Institute serving as Superintendent (SG-II) or
Secretary (Selection Grade II) for at least 6 years at Grade Pay of
Rs. 4800/or higher with Masters degree and exemplary
performance record. [Age bar not applicable; no relaxation in
educational qualifications.]
B. Desirable
i) Qualification in area of Management / Engineering / Law.
ii) Experience in handling computerized administration / legal / financial / establishment matters. Officers from the Central / State Governments or Institute of national importance or Universities / University level Institution or PSU: a) Holding analogous post, and b) Possessing educational qualification and experience as above. Age Limit : 35 years

GENERAL INFORMATION/INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES:

  1. Candidates working in Government Institutions are required to apply through proper channel and to produce No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.

  2. Mere fulfilment of required qualifications and experience etc. does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview/selection.

  3. The Institute reserves the right to consider and fill or not fill any of the posts.

  4. The Institute reserves the right to set short listing criteria higher than the minimum advertised and restrict the number of candidates for interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than those prescribed in the advertisement.

  5. All degrees/certificates should be from recognised University/Institute.

  6. Candidates will have to appear for selection test/interview at their own cost, if called before a Selection Committee on the date and place which will be separately notified to the candidates.

  7. Selected candidates should be prepared to join duty within the time granted.

  8. Each application should accompany a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/-only towards application fee favouring INDIAN INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, KALYANI and payable at KALYANI.

  12. The decision of the Institute in all matters will be final. No correspondence, whatsoever, will be entertained from the candidates in connection with the process of selection/interview. Canvassing in any manner would entail disqualification of the candidature.
