ADVERTISEMENT FOR FACULTY ASSOCIATE IN DESIGN DISCIPLINE

PDPM Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing, Jabalpur, an Institute of national importance, established by an act of Parliament under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India invites applications from well qualified and strongly motivated candidates as Faculty Associate in Design discipline purely on contract basis for a period of 02 years subject to review after one year and may be extended by another 02 years. Minimum qualification and other eligibilities are as under:-

1. Minimum Qualifications:-

a. Completed (two years) Masters Degree in Design, Engineering, Arts, Science (Physiology and Psychology), and Architecture etc.

b1. Registered for PhD Program: The candidates should have completed at least two years from the date of their candidacy into PhD programme satisfactorily. He/She shall have made presentation of State of the Art Seminar at their parent institute. The candidates should get a No Objection Certificate from their supervisor certifying their satisfactory progress and that the supervisor has no objection in the candidate completing the research work off the campus. The candidate should also convert his/her PhD programme into external/part-time or any other suitable category as per the rules of their parent institute, if selected for the position. The PhD registration should be in Design/Industrial Design, or Design related domains only.

b2. Not-Registered for PhD program: Candidates not registered for PhD programme but having minimum of five years experience, after their Master degree, as Industrial Designer in Industry or Academia.

2. Age:

The upper age limit for applying for this position would be preferably below 50 years.

3. Compensation:

a. Candidates having a Masters in Design with five years industry experience would be paid a gross, all inclusive, consolidated pay of Rs. 75,000/- (Rupees Seventy Five Thousand) per month, with 10% annual increment every year subject to a performance review by a committee.

b. Candidates who have registered for PhD would be paid a gross, all inclusive, consolidated pay of Rs. 55,000/- (Rupees Fifty Five thousand) per month, with 10% annual increment every year subject to a performance review by a committee.

c. Such candidates after completion of their PhD would have to apply afresh for faculty position as and when they are advertised. Recruitment for such positions would be done through open selection, as per Institute rules.

NOTE: - Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates will be as applicable.

4. Instructions to the applicants:-

1. Application forms may be downloaded from the Institute's website: www.iiitdmj.ac.in .

2. Last date for receiving applications is up to 31st July , 2017 (5:00 pm).

3. Full and comprehensive details of teaching experience/research experience /industrial experience should be given while applying with the evidences from the competent authority. Only relevant document issued by competent authority should be attached while filling the form.

4. Attach separate sheet in the same format, if required.

5. Incomplete/ partially filled application forms will not be considered. Applications not in prescribed format or without self-attested copies of certificates/ mark sheets, proof of date of birth, etc. (mentioned in check list), application without signature or any extra sheet not signed may be rejected. Decision of the Institute authorities in such cases will be final.

6. Persons employed in Government/Semi- Government Organization or Educational Institution must apply through proper channel. However, a copy of duly filled application may be sent as an Advance Copy so as to reach this office before the due date of submission.

7. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays, conduct & result of interview, reasons for not being called for interview.

8. The Institute reserves the right to fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised.

9. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.

10. Applications sent through email/FAX will not be considered.

11.Incomplete applications / without necessary enclosures will summarily be rejected.

12. Envelope containing application form should be super-scribed with APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF FAULTY ASSOCIATE(DESIGN)

13.Complete application form in hard copy alongwith all the enclosures/annexure must be forwarded at the address given below. In the application form strike out the portion which is not applicable .

14. Applicants are also required to forward only scanned copy of their application form (without any enclosures/annexure) on the email-id -facapp@iiitdmj.ac.in .

15.Applications forwarded only as scanned copy on the email not followed by hard copy, will not be considered.

16.Applications which are not strictly as per the format given will be summarily rejected.Bio-data/Curriculum vitae etc. will also not be considered and will be summarily rejected.

17. Applicants shortlisted for the interview are required to bring alongwith them copies of their Projects and best Research Papers at the time of interview. Five copies of list of Publications and Projects should also be brought.

18. Applicants should go through the advertisement thoroughly and should fill up all the required information in the prescribed proforma as asked for.

19. Candidates called for interview will be reimbursed AC-3 train fare (only for travel within India) by the shortest route/bus fare as per Govt. of India norms on production of tickets. Candidates from overseas are also encouraged to apply. The Institute holds web interviews for such candidates. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates regarding postal delays conduct and result of interviews and reasons for not being called for interview.

5. Note:-

1. The posts are on purely contract basis for a fixed period of time. After completion of the said period, contract will cease and employee will be relieved of his duties. Institute in no condition will be bound to continue employing the employee beyond the contract period.

2. Candidates should have an excellent academic record, good communication skills, a commitment to high quality undergraduate and post-graduate education and research.

3. Mere meeting the minimum education qualification and experience does not qualify an applicant for call for an interview and selection etc. Short listing criteria for calling for interview may befixed higher than those in the advertisement.
