Applications are invited from the Indian nationals for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work in a DST-SERB funded extramural research (EMR) project (Individual-centric) entitled Computational Design of Functional Nucleotides for Artificial Life. The selected candidate will have a chance to register for the Institute Ph.D. program in Physics.

Project Duration: 3 years or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier (the position is purely temporary in nature and performance will be reviewed periodically)

Stipend: Rs 25,000 per month for the first and second years and Rs 28,000 per month for the third year (as per the DST guidelines). HRA + other benefits will be as per the norms of DST and the Institute.

Essential Qualifications: MSc in Physics or Biophysics or related areas. Preference will be given to candidates who have qualified in GATE/NET-JRF/JEST or any other national level eligibility test recognized by DST (http://www.serb.gov.in/pdfs/Results/OM-Research%20Fellowship-JRF-SRF-RA.pdf ) and have a valid score card.
