Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (On Contract)

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in the research project entitled Mission Planning using Sampling Based Techniques in reference to the sanction letter vide diary no. SERB/F/3286/2016-17 dated 23 August, 2016 for Project File No. ECR/2015/000406 by the Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi. The duly completed application on prescribed format along with copies of supporting documents must reach to Dr. Rahul Kala (PI of the project) via email at rkala@iiita.ac.in. Project Duration : Appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of one year, extendable upto 3 years based on performance or the duration of the project (whichever is earlier).

Essential Qualifications: M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering.

Desirable Qualifications: (i) A high GATE/NET/JEST or similar other national level ranking.

(ii) Candidates with knowledge of any or all of Artificial Intelligence, Algorithms, Control, Robotics, Logic, Computer Vision, Linux and candidates with good programming skills will be given preference, although candidates without this skill set and desirous of learning are encouraged to apply. You are requested to highlight this in the application form with relevant evidence like courses taken, projects, research experience, etc.

Fellowship: 25,000/- pm (Fixed)

Note:

1. The applicant will be responsible for the authenticity of information, other documents and photographs submitted.

2. The Institute reserves the right to accept application at any time, and consider candidates of exceptional credentials without applications. Qualification and experience may be relaxed by the Institute at any point of time for otherwise exceptional candidates.

3. Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate would be called for interview. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit and need of the project.

4. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview date. So, the candidate must provide valid E-mail IDs in their applications.

5. Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the interview date with updated CV and original and attested photocopies of mark sheets/certificates in support of their academic qualifications.

6. Applicants in employment (private, government or any other organization) are required to submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.

7. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.

Age Limit: 28 years as on the last date of application (The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PH and women candidates).
