Application for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract)

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in research project entitled Graphene Transistors on Different High-k Dielectrics as Performance Boosters and the Role of Self-Heating: A Physics Based Theoretical Approach in reference to the sanctioned File No. YSS/2015/000985 dated 1^st January 2016 by SCIENCE & ENGINEERING RESEARCH BOARD, New Delhi, 110070. The duly completed application on prescribed format along with the copies of supporting documents must research to Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Room No. 2221, Computer Centre-1, Indian Institute of Information Technology-Allahabad, Devghat, Jhalwa, Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh 211012 on or before 31/01/2016. The envelope should be super scribed as Applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (On contract) in Research Project Graphene Transistors on Different High-k Dielectrics as Performance Boosters and the Role of Self-Heating: A Physics Based Theoretical Approach. The position is purely temporary and will be governed by the funding agency rules and service conditions of Research & Development Cell IIIT-Allahabad.

Name of the position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Project Duration: Appointment will be made on contract basis for a period of one year initially, which may be extended depending on the performance evaluation on yearly basis till the end of the project.

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc in Electronic Science, MSc. In Physics (Specialization in Electronics) with one year experience/M.E./M.Tech. in Microelectronics.

Desirable experience: (i) A high GATE/NET/JEST or similar other national level ranking.

Fellowship: Rs. 25,000/-p.m. (Fixed)

2. The institute reserves the right to accept application at any time and consider candidates of exceptional credentials without applications. Qualifications and experience may be relaxed by the Institute at any point of time for otherwise exceptional candidates.
   
   
3. Mere possessing the prescribed qualification does not ensure that the candidate would be called for interview. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of merit and need of the project.
   
   
4. Shortlisted candidates will be informed by e-mail about the interview date. So, the candidate must provide valid e-mail IDs in their applications.
   
   
5. Shortlisted candidates have to present themselves for the interview on the interview date with updated CV and original and attested photocopies of marksheets/certificates in support of their academic qualifications.
   
   
6. Applicants in employment (private government or any other organisation) are required to submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview.
   
   
7. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
