Subject:-Filling up of vacant General Central-Services Group 'A' Gazetted (Non-
Ministerial) posts of .Joint Director (Toxicology) and Deputy Director
(Toxicology) in the Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and
Storage, Faridabad, on deputation basis.
Applications are invited from eligible officers for filling up of the following
vacant General Central Services (Non-Ministerial) Group 'A' posts of the
Directorate of Plant Protection, Quarantine and Storage, Faridabad, on

Details of the post, eligibility conditions etc. are given in the Annexure-I
(vacancy circular). The pay of the officer selected for appointment on
deputation basis will be regulated in terms of DOPT's O.M. No. 2/29/91-
Estt.(Pay.II), dated 5.1.1994 and its subsequent orders issued from time to
time.
2. Applications of such officers/candidates will be considered which are
routed through proper channel and are accompanied with (i)Bio-data(in
duplicate) as in the Proforma given (Annexure-II) (ii) Attested photocopies of
ACRs for the last five years(ACRs to be attested by an officer not below the rank
of Under Secretary)(iii)Vigilance clearance/Integrity Certificate/ cadre clearance
certificate and (iv) Statement giving details of major or minor penalties imposed
on the officer, if any, during the last 10 years. (Annexure-III)

(ii) Depu ty Director Officers under the Central Government or State

(Toxicology) Governments or Union Territories or Agricultural Universities or Recognised Research Institutes or Councils or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government or Autonomous .or Statutory Organisations:

(i): holding analogous post on' regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
(ii): with five years' regular service in the post (grade) rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Level 10 [Rs.56100-177500) (Pay Band -3, Rs. 15,600-39,100/-plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-of the 6th Pay Commission) or equivalent pay scales in the parent cadre or Department.

6. Essential Educational Qualifications and Experience

(i) Joint Director Possessing the following educational qualifications and (Toxicology) experience:

(i)Master's Degree in Veterinary Science with specialization in Pharmacology or Toxicology or Masters in Pharmacology/Toxicology from a recognised University or MBBSandMDwithspecialization inPharmacology.

(ii)Ph.D.inrelated area(PharmacologyorToxicologyl.incaseof non-medical candidates.

Experience:

Six (6) years working experience in lab/hospital/institution in related field ofPharmacologyorToxicology.

(ii) Deputy Possessing the following educational qualifications and

_Director experience: (Toxicology)

(i)Master's Degree in Veterinary Science with specialization in Pharmacology or Toxicology or Masters in Pharmacology /Toxicology from a recognised University or
MBBSand MDwith specialization in Pharmacology.
(ii)Ph. D. in related area (Pharmacology or Toxicology)in case of
non-medical candidates.
Experience:
One (1) year working experience in lab/hospital/institution in
related field of Pharmacology or Toxicology.

Place of The Headquarter of the post is at Faridabad but place of
posting posting may be anywhere in India.

Period of Period of deputation (including short term contract) shall
deputation ordinarily not to exceed 03 years.

9. Duties and responsibilities attached to the posts:

(i) Joint Director 1. Scrutiny of toxicological study on pesticides for registration
(Toxicology) purpose in CIB&RC.
2. Pre and post toxicological and safety study of pesticides on
animals in CIL.
3. Supervision of Toxicology Division in CIB&RC or Medical
ToxicologyDivision in CIL..

(ii) Deputy 1. Scrutiny of toxicological study on pesticides for registration
Director purpose in CIB&RC.
(Toxicology) 2. Pre and post toxicological and safety study of pesticides on
animals in CIL.
