  1. Application from eligible candidates are invited for selection of one Consultant to be engaged on contractual basis to provide technical support on need basis to National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA) in disciplines of Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Agricultural Engineering/ Forestry/Botany/Enviromental Sciences.
  2. Educational Qualification: Master Degree in the relevant subject or Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Preference will be given for higher qualification in the subject.
  3. The Consultants will be engaged on full time contractual basis, initially for a period of six months with consolidated honorarium upto Rs.70,000/-per month.

Engagement of Consultants under Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY)

(A) Consultants: Consultants in the fields of Agricultural Engineering/ Civil engineering/ Horticulture/ Agriculture with specialization in Water Resource Management/ Conservation / Precision Irrigation, Soil & Water Conservation etc. at an honorarium upto Rs. 70,000 per month (consolidated).

Qualification & Experience:

  • Master degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ or Bachelor degree in Agricultural Engineering/ Civil Engineering and specialization in Water Resource Management/ Conservation / Precision Irrigation/ Soil & Water Conservation. Preference may be given to candidates with Doctorate Degree/ Master of Technology in above disciplines and having 10 years of experience as Irrigation Engineer, Faculty in Irrigation, Water Management specialist/ Scientist I Officers involved in the field of Water conservation etc.
  • Preference on knowledge on Remote, Sensing, Geologic information system.
  • Ability to analyze data and preparation of projects, MIS System, writing reports; seminar notes; articles etc. as evidenced by publication in national and international journals.
  • The person should have the abihty of team leadership & motivation.

General Criterion:

Consultants will be engaged on contract basis on payment of fixed remuneration as mentioned above. No other allowances bhall be payable. The engagement will be initially for a period of six months w.e.f. the date of their engagement.

Duties:

  • To provide technical assistnnce to the Programme Unit on matters related to interventions proposed in the Programme. To assist examination of long term, mid term and annual action plans.
  • To provide assistance in constructive coordination with other department engaged in programme.
  • To assist States in planning, formulation of District irrigation Plans/ State Irrigation Plans and Annual Action Plan.
  • To provide technical assistance to Progrmnme staff in scrutinizing the achon plans received from the States.
  • To Establish time-Lines and indicators for completion of each activity
  • To supervise the quality of implementation of various interventions proposed in the programm for achieving targets assigned.
  • To assist senior officers in coordination & convergence with prograrrunes of other divisions o DAC; State governments; State agriculture Universities; ICAR research institutions and othe1 stake holder on technical front.
  • To constitute teams for monitoring the progress of works in the States and provide technical guidance to them in conducting Monitoring and evaluation.
  • To coordinate the works of State and District level programmes
  • To visit the States periodically to provide technical guidance and impart knowledge about best practices.
  • To assist in the conduction of specific central and regional workshops.
  • To analyze the data received from various States and to come up with suggestions wherever improvements are required in the execution of the activities.
  • Documentation and dissemination of contribution of various interventions and success stories.
  • To render overall help to the technical staff working in the cell.
  • To perform other tasks specified by Programme Head.

Engagement of Consultant under National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture (NMSA)

(A) Consultant: Consultant in the field of Agriculture/Horticulture/Agricultural Engineering/Forestry/ / Botany/Environmental Sciences with consolidated honorarium upto Rs.70,000/-per month

  • Master degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ /Forestry/ BotanyI or Bachelor Degree in Agricultural Engineering/ Environmental Sciences. Preference may be given to candidates with Doctorate Degree/Master of Technology in the above disciplines and having at least 10 years of experience in Farming System/ atural Resource Management/Agro-forestry / Monitoring Information System/ prograrrune evaluation or 5 years experience in the rank of Additional Commissioner or above in Government of India, handling agriculture programmes.
  • Ability to analyze data and preparation of projects, writing reports/seminar notes/ articles as evidenced by publication in national and international journals.
  • The person should have the ability of team leadership & motivation.

  • To coordinate with Standing Technical Committee (STC) for providing time to time knowledge support and technical feed back to the Project Sanctioning Committee and National Advisory Committee of NMSA.
  • To assist State in planning, formulation of NMSA Mission Implementation Plan and Annual Action Plan.
  • To provide technical assistance to NMSA staff in scrutinizing the action plans received from the States.
  • To Establish time-lines and indicators for completion of each activity
  • To supervise the quality of implementation of various interventions proposed in the Mission for i~proving the production of rice, wheat and pulses.
  • To assist Mission Director and other senior officers in synchronizing and synergizing with other divisions of DAC&FW; State Governments; State Agriculture Universities; ICAR research institutions and other stake holders on technical front.
  • To constitute teams for monitoring the progress of works in the States and provide technical guidance to them in conducting MonHoring and evaluation.
  • To coordinate the works of State and District level programmes
  • To visit the States periodically to provide technical guidance and impart knowledge about best practices.
  • To assist in the conduction of specific central and regional workshops.
  • To analyze the data received from various States and to come up with suggestions wherever improvements are required in the execution of the activities.
