RECRUITMENT NOTICE

Semi-Conductor Laboratory (SCL) is a state-of-the-art R&D facility under Dept. of Space, Govt. of India in the vital area of microelectronics. SCL requires 2 Nos. Scientist/Engineers SC (Chemical Engg.) in the Pay Band (PB)-3 (Rs.15600-39100) + Grade Pay (GP) of Rs.5400/-. Applications on a plain A4 size paper in the given Format are invited for the said post from persons meeting the following eligibility criteria:

Essential Qualification	:	For the post of Scientists/Engineers SC: B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent in Chemical Engineering in First Class with an aggregate minimum of 65% (average of all Semesters) or CGPA/CPI Grading of 6.84 on a 10-point scale.
Age Limit	:	18-35 years as on the last date of receipt of applications (for SC/ST 40 years and 38 years for OBC Candidates. Ex-servicemen & Persons with Disabilities (PWD) are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India Orders).

Last date of receipt of applications: 8.7.2016

Selection Process: A duly constituted Screening Committee shall screen the applications received for the posts based on the given eligibility criteria and may fix criteria as it may consider necessary (including written test, if required) for shortlisting the candidates for interview. The screened-in/shortlisted candidates will have to appear for interview with the Selection Committee for which communication shall be sent only to the screened-in/shortlisted candidates. SCL reserves the right to call for Interview only those candidates who in its opinion are likely to be suitable and will not entertain any correspondence in this regard.

General conditions/instructions:

i) Only Indian Nationals need to apply.

ii) Candidates with qualifications/experience higher than those prescribed as minimum may apply. They may be called for the interview for the post for which they have applied but the higher qualification/experience shall not give any edge over other candidates adequately qualified as per the advertisement. They shall be offered only the advertised post/grade.

iii) Candidates attending the interview will be reimbursed to and fro second class train fare by the shortest route from the correspondence address of the applicant given in the application to the place of interview.

iv) At present the place of posts is at SCL, SAS Nagar (Punjab), but the selected candidates are liable to be posted in any of the Units/Centres of DOS/ISRO situated anywhere in India as and when required. Selected candidates are expected to attend general duties including shift/emergency duties.

v) Candidates working in the Central/State Govts., Public Sector Undertakings or Autonomous Organizations should apply through proper channel. In case they anticipate any delay in forwarding their applications, they may submit advance copies before the due date. However, the candidates are required to produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of interview.

vi) Candidates should enclose self-attested true copy of the relevant certificates/testimonials as proof of age, educational qualification, experience, caste etc. alongwith the applications. Originals should be produced at the time of personal interview.

vii) Incomplete applications received without the requisite information asked for in the prescribed format/without signature/without photograph pasted at the prescribed places/without self-attested to be true copies of all the certificates in support of their claim for educational qualifications, age, caste etc. are liable to be summarily rejected. Applications or enclosures thereof received separately after the due date for any reason whatsoever will not be entertained by SCL. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained

viii) Decision of SCL in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, conduct of examination/interview, etc. will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or agency on behalf of the candidate.

ix) SCL reserves the right not to fill up the post, if it so decides. Posts are provisional and may vary on actual requirements.

x) No interim correspondence will be entertained from the candidates who are not screened-in for the interview/appointment.

xi) Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.

xii) Envelope containing Applications complete in all respects alongwith its enclosures properly tagged/ stappled superscribing Application for the post of Sci./Engrs. SC (Chem.Engg.), should reach Sr.Admn. Officer, P&GA (Est.) at the above given address on or before 8.7.2016. by ordinary post only.
