WALK-IN-INTERVIEW for RESEARCH INTERN AWARDS

Applications are invited for 03 numbers Research Intern Awards from Indian nationals, who are creative and have passion and desire to pursue S&T as a career. The total number is tentative and may vary as per subsequent requirements.

CSIR Diamond Jubilee Research Intern Awards scheme is meant to be a preparatory phase for young interns imbibing the spirit of enquiry and learning the tools and techniques of research through participation and doing. The scheme thus seeks for young interns to gain from the knowledge and experience of accomplished scientists by working with them and to take up S&T as a career.

CSIR the premier industrial R&D organization in India was established in 1942 by a resolution of the then Central Legislative Assembly. It is an autonomous body registered under the Registration of the Societies Act of 1860.

Essential Qualification: Minimum 60% marks in M.Sc /BE/ B.Tech/ MCA broadly in the area of programming Information Technology / Computer Science.

Desirable/additional Skill: Candidate having experience in programming particularly on Dot-Net platform and SQL would be preferred. A certificate of experience must be enclosed.

{Only those whose final results have been declared, as on the date of walk in interview will be eligible.}

Job requirement: Selected interns would be required to assist the software development team in its various assignments related to the software development, its implementation and other related aspects / issues so as to impart hands on training in the area of information technology and and related matters.

Age Limit :

Not more than 25 yrs. as on the date of interview which is relaxable in case of SC/ ST/OBC/ Physically Handicapped and female candidates as per rule.

Stipend:

Rs.24000/- per month consolidated. No other allowance is admissible.

Tenure:

Initially for 01 year but maximum period of 02 years not extendable under any circumstances and subject to satisfactory performance to be evaluated every 06 months. The interns shall have no claim for further extension, absorption or regularization in CSIR after the expiry / termination of the internship. In case the performance is not satisfactory, the internship will be terminated with one month's notice or one month's stipend in lieu thereof. During the internship period the intern would be free to appear for NET/GATE and secure regular fellowship for doing Ph.D.

Mode of Selection:

Interested eligible candidates must report at the CSIR reception desk at 9.00 A.M. (Candidates will not be entertained after 9.30 A.M.). Selection of candidates for the Research Intern Awards would be based on their overall performance in interview. In case of large number of candidates reporting on the day of 'walk-in-interview, the interview may either be continued on the next day, or the selection committee may decide to shortlist the candidates on the basis of on the spot screening test/any other method.

How to Apply :

The prescribed application form can be downloaded from CSIR website and duly filled in forms may be submitted at the time of interview. 'Walk in interview' will be held on 16th December, 2017 (Saturday). The application forms should be accompanied by attested photograph and copies of testimonials/ certificates in support of age, educational qualifications, experience and caste / tribe etc. mentioned in the application. The applicant must also bring all original certificates/ testimonials at the time of test/ interview for verification.

NO TA/DA WILL BE PAID FOR ATTENDING THE INTERVIEW.

ONLY CANDIDATES WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER CSIR HQRS. PREMISES ON THE DAY OF INTERVIEW.

CANVASSING IN ANY FORM AND BRINGING IN ANY INFLUENCE WILL BE TREATED AS DISQUALIFICATION.
