APPLICATIONS ARE INVITED FOR ONE POST OF

DIRECTOR & SR. PROFESSOR

1. Pay Scale : - PB-4 Rs.37400-67000/-+ Grade Pay Rs. 10,000/- plus allowances at the rate admissible to Central Government employees stationed at Mumbai.

2. Qualification : -

a. Essential : -

(i) M.A./M.Sc. in Demography or Statistics or Economics or Mathematics or Sociology with specialization in statistics

(ii) Post Graduate training in Demography from an Institute of repute in Indian or Foreign University.

(iii) Atleast 10 years of experience in Demographic research, out of which atleast 5 years teaching experience in a research center or University or Government Department in a capacity equivalent to Professors rank;

(iv) Administrative experience of atleast 3 years in some teaching and/or research institute or University or Government Department

b. Desirable :-

(i) Doctorate degree in Demography;

(ii) Research publication of a high standard in the field of Demography, Population Studies, Economics and/or Statistics

3. Age as on 22-08-2017 not more than 50 years. Age relaxable at the discretion of Executive Council in suitable/deserving cases

4. Terms : The post is temporary but likely to continue.

5.
